INTRODUCTION

Life and living is based on our perceptions of our environment, perceptions which are encoded and decoded by our sense organs and the brain. Our lab is interested in the embryology behind our sense and we are seeking to understand the earliest relationships betweeen our sense organs and the tissues that surround them

The Lab for Sensory Development is on the fourth floor of the A building of RIKEN's Center for Developmental Biology, in Kobe, Japan. Overlooking both the Rokko Mountains and Kobe Bay, the lab and the Center are equipped with state of the art facilities within an interactive and social environment.
